چکیده

Decreased blood supply, high sugar level, and a possibility of bacterial infection in diabetic wounds pose risk for limb loss mortality. Therefore, proper wound care is needed to improve the quality life patients. Vitex trifolia L (Legundi) extract reported have antibacterial antioxidant activity that enhances cell proliferation migration. The antimicrobial hemostatic properties chitosan film are viewed as an ideal material enhancing healing. should retain its integrity flexibility while used on skin, therefore was combined with PVA PVP K30 quality. objectives this study were optimize concentration chitosan, K30, towards Legundi properties, evaluate healing hyperglycemic mice using incision model. In study, film’s compositions optimized simplex lattice design, effects components their characteristics, such thickness, weight, folding endurance, swelling rate, index, evaluated. BALB/c Mice divided into three groups (Group I, Group II, III) which treated normal saline, placebo film, respectively once daily 8 days. result suggested responsible affecting whilst dominant factor increasing index rate film. optimum formula films consists 1.15 %(b/v) 1.25 1.6 PVA. animal higher closure compared control group four days after (p<0.05). Thus, potential dressing treat wound.
